Hi, I’m Pranchal and my pronouns are she/her. I’m a stage 3 Computer Science student and I am the Student Chair for W@CS. I am passionate about creating a more equal, diverse and inclusive environment in the Computer Science field and have been working towards this shared goal with all our committee and members. I love a good chat so feel free to reach out to me on any of our social media platforms if you want to learn more about the stuff we do or just have a chat 🙂
Hellooo, I’m Idil (she/her) and I am a stage 1 Computer Science student from Turkey. Some of the aspects of computer science that I am interested in the most are neural networks, Green IT and game development. I am also quite passionate about sustainability and social justice. Whenever I’m AFK (away from keyboard), I seek opportunities to be more active by playing tennis, swimming and surfing.
I am delighted to be joining the W@CS committee as the Alumni member. I looked forward to working with and mentoring the current committee members throughout this academic year. Having been a UCD Computer Science student myself I look forward to creating a meaningful impact for current students through relaying my experience in industry so far. As an individual with a passion for diversity and inclusion, and having assisted with the Alumni Roundtable earlier this year, I look forward to creating content and voicing perspectives that will be of further relevance to all current Computer Science students.
Hey, my name is Karol Wojcik and I am a Computer Science Undergrad at UCD. My job as a committee member of W@CS is that of a Visual/Graphic Designer. I am really looking forward to working with everyone involved to make some great content!
Shreya Tadas • StudentMentoring
I am a PhD student at the Insight Center for Data Analytics in the School of Computer Science. I got my Masters degree from RIT, NY and have also worked in the bay area as a UX designer. Having worked in the software industry in the bay area where men outnumbered women in every meeting room, I highly value the role that women @ CS plays in each institution to engage and mentor more women in the computer science field. Hope to meet you all soon (virtually of course!)
